Tapas in Toronto

On June 12,  was inaugurated the exhibition. TAPAS. Spanish Design for Food at the Design Exchange - Canada's Design Museum in Toronto. Organized by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and curated by Juli Capella, TAPAS wondering what role design has played in relation to food and gastronomy in Spain, and aims to find the answer through more than 200 pieces divided into the three sections of the kitchen, table and food.

The exhibition presents objects ranging from the traditional jug to avant-garde kitchen utensils designed at present, combining tradition and modernity, craftsmanship and technological innovation, emphasizing the ingenuity and inventiveness of the rich Spanish gastronomy.

The exhibition has so far visited Tokyo, Miami, Washington and Seoul, and will run in Toronto until August 10, 2014.
